During one of my teenage pity parties, my dad said it could be worse. You could be 350 pounds covered in zits. Even though those are physical attributes that could be changed, I kind of understood what he meant. I’ve been doing me ever since.

being able to describe something other then by color and where it is without pointing and saying next to the blue thing over there helps. being blind has unlocked a systems thinking for me that sets me apart from those who seem to only have one sense

I don't accept it, I've just learned to live with it and have found ways to adapt to be able to do things.

it finally came down to no other choice , it was either give up and cloak out, or accept it and keep it moving forward, I chose the 2nd option, no it's no easy but it's not impossible either

I'm low vision. I've got degenerative Myopia. I'm learning braille while I still have some sight. I use a white cane as I have no depth perception and bad distorted vision and blind spots. I'm mostly okay but sometimes I cry when I try to do something I used to be able to do and can't any longer.
