There’s nothing he’s going to do. His wife told him about it, but he’s not interested. She has probably saved some money over time and doesn’t want it to sit idle. She believes the best investment for her future and their children is to buy a property with a mortgage, and that’s her right because it’s her money. You can’t expect her to go ahead with something you said no to and still put your name on it. Absolutely not. If you did not contributing to the mortgage don’t live there or have anything to do with the property, then it should be left entirely to her. Just make sure you don’t pay the mortgage for her. When you are ready to get your own house if needed get it or keep pay another person mortgage and call it rent

But men buy properties with their names without putting their wives name. They will tell you it’s still ours. So she should tell the man it doesn’t matter whose name is on it, it’s still theirs😁

Man was not interested in a mortgage. The woman was interested had the deposit and went on to buy in her name. There is no problem with the marriage and she is not wrong by not putting his name on it. She does not need permission or approval from her husband to do what she needs to do . She’s an adult for goodness sake

As part of a mortgage application the lender will want to know details of all the adults who will be living in the property and every other adult who will be residing in the property apart from the applicant will need to sign a waiver and will be advised to seek independent legal advice. A good broker would have asked these questions much earlier in the process. It will also be picked up during conveyancing.

A lot of people don’t know what they are doing and later by the time they find out the reality and truth it’s sometimes too late to fix. FACT!!!!!! the fact that the property and mortgage are in the wife’s sole name does not automatically mean the husband has no entitlement to it if they divorce. always speak to professionals!!!!!
