Marian soil is like sharp, and all the rocks are sharp cause there is no water to smooth them out! The rocks the rover climb over act like can openers literally ripping into anything that touches them!! The fact it lasts as long as it does is incredible!! Most rovers last years longer than originally planned

Yep, although Martian soil is similar in abrasiveness to sand, this is due to years of driving over rocks, exposure to solar radiation, and a lack of humidity. Similar to plastic after years of exposure to the sun, it becomes brittle.

I think there were two rovers, and the name of the documentary was name of one of the rovers.👍
