My ex would decide to start violent arguments right when I would fall asleep and I would be taking deliriously (like in a dream) because I was half asleep and then he would use it against me and keep me up all night going in circles arguing and then he would start getting abusive. Meanwhile I had a full time job and he was unemployed with a broken ankle.

These stories are why I want to stay close to my daughters. My 18 is in a serious relationship and wants children “one day”. I’ve told her to wait until she finishes her degree and works for a while. We’ll see if my advice is heeded. Either way, I want to be there to come help the way my family helped me.

My husband was/is a narcissist. He would pick a fight when I was going to bed. We would fight until 2-3 in the morning. I taught school and had 3 small children. I was sleep deprived for decades. OR if I agreed to sax he would go take an hour long dump. Then he would wake me up angry that I had the audacity to go to sleep. Naps were never a thing. I believe sleep deprivation is a war crime.

my ex would scream at me, pull covers off me, turn the big light on, start banging about when i fell asleep before him. he also said it wasn’t fair that he couldn’t fall asleep easily and i could… (i could because i was exhausted 24/7 from playing the mum role) 😬

My ex would ridicule me for needing more sleep then he did even tho i suffer with diagnosed "chronic fatigue syndrome due to endometriosis and adenomyosis" and he still laughed at me when i stated that I had medical conditions and they work around extra sleep... He still to this day ignores it all and good thing he's my ex now 🤣😂

I passed out on the couch, he had an air horn sound on his phone and used that, shook me like a rag doll, screamed at me, threw a pill box on my head and threw freezing cold water on me, all because he didn’t want to help with baby and because at 3 weeks after birth I still continued to say no to smex which started an hour after giving birth

I've even read confessions of men talking about how they'd purposely turn off their wife's CPAP machines to keep her exhausted and fatigued and they think that shit is funny.
