As a Blink who has been here since 2016, I’ve fully supported Blackpink in every way possible their group work, their albums, and all four of their solo projects. I’ve bought the merch, bought the physical albums, and spent my hard-earned money traveling out of state and across the globe just to support them. I went to Europe back-to-back to see Jennie perform, flew out to Chicago for Lollapalooza, and traveled to Las Vegas to see Lisa at her residency. I love all four members, and my dedication to them is undeniable. But as a loyal fan who has invested so much time, energy, and money into this group, I’m just completely exhausted by the lack of effort and cohesion when it comes to them actually working together as a unit. Can we all just be honest? It feels like Blackpink doesn’t want to be in a group anymore. Can we stop holding on to hope that they’re going to be the same group they were back then? Because it’s clearly not happening. Their last album felt like the final straw. What happened to all the songs, the fun collaborations, and the multiple music videos we were promised? We only got two MVs! On top of that, none of the members really promoted the release they basically just posted it online and said, "Here you go." None of them did the "Jump" challenge, appeared on music shows, or did group promotions. Literally nothing. We’ve been getting bare-minimum content for the past five years, so I don’t know why everyone is so shocked and surprised. It’s getting exhausting hearing the same empty promises: "We're not disbanding," "We're here to stay," and "Blackpink is coming back stronger." Honestly, when are you actually coming back stronger? The last real push was back in 2022, and it’s been downhill ever since. It feels like the members barely want to be in the group anymore. Just be honest with the fans, say you want to go solo, and stop wasting our time by renewing contracts just to give us nothing. Both YG and Blackpink deserve criticism for how this has been handled. To be clear, this isn’t hate towards the girls it’s plain, valid criticism. Blackpink would be so much bigger right now if they actually stayed consistent as a group, but it feels like the
