If nobody gets my movie reference at the very end this is all for nothing🥴 Recipe slightly adapted but inspired by @Emily Rangel and skull struesal inspired by @Lori Castellon ! ** I almost doubled the recipe for 9 x 9 pan! This is more for an 8 x 8 pan Pumpkin Brown Butter Coffee Cake with Skull Streusel🎃💀 Ingredients * 10 tbsp unsalted butter * 1¼ cups dark brown sugar, packed * 2 large eggs * 1 cup pumpkin purée * ⅔ cup plain Greek yogurt * 1 tbsp vanilla bean paste * 2 cups all-purpose flour * 2 tbsp pumpkin pie spice * 1 tsp cinnamon * ½ tsp salt * ½ tsp baking soda * 2 tsp baking powder Skull Streusel * 1 cup all-purpose flour * ½ cup unsalted butter, softened * ½ cup brown sugar, packed * 2 tsp cinnamon Instructions Instructions 1. Brown the butter. Melt butter over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and nutty. Cool slightly. 2. Make the batter. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line an 8×8-inch pan. Whisk browned butter and brown sugar, then add eggs, pumpkin, Greek yogurt, and vanilla. Mix until smooth. 3. Add dry ingredients. Add flour, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Fold until just combined—don’t overmix. 4. Make the skull streusel. Mix flour, softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until crumbly. Press firmly into skull molds, freeze for at least 10 minutes, then transfer to the fridge. 5. Assemble. Add half the batter to the pan, followed by a layer of streusel. Add the remaining batter and top with the skull streusel pieces. 6. Bake. Bake at 350°F for 45-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs. Cool before slicing. #fallbaking#cozyrecipes #pumpkingbread #spookyfood #foodart
