The US is already facing a growing shortage of caregivers for older adults, people with disabilities, as well as children. Many of those workers are immigrants. When experienced caregivers leave the workforce, families don’t just lose employees, they lose trusted relationships, continuity of care and a system that was already stretched thin. This isn’t about telling you what to think. It’s about looking at an issue from another angle and asking what the real world consequences are for the families who depend on care every day.
