My whole team got nasty food poisoning in Iraq in 2003. We couldn’t stop puking and shitting. Sometimes both at once. 115 degrees. Middle of an invasion. Few of us got dehydrated pretty bad. IV fluids in the back of a humvee. Going on patrols. Shitting ourselves. And that was the first week. Only showers we had for 45 days was poking holes in water bottles we left out in the sun and using it as a shower hanging it with paracord. Lost the ability to really smell ourselves. But the goats and shit seemed to think we smelled great. Mf’s kept following us around. Oh. And we had half our mopp gear on for NBC attacks. Good times. I think I made about $1500 a month then. You’ll be aight.

Big deal. I worked in a steel mill for 12 hour shifts 6 days a week. Freezing cold in winter, scorching hot in summer.
