I use it to locate first gen because if you hold them out if a gen is near by it’ll show you and then I drop it and go to the gen

i ran into someone playing dredge with the ghost skin that has lanterns on it and watched my teammate run straight into his loving arms thinking it was another teammate

I drop it too. It’s more fun that way. when I played as Killer, I could see the person carrying the lantern it made them really easy to spot and track; i know exactly where they were going right away.

Only downside is the lantern give you gens speed to complete when equipped to the gen. Other than that it’s lame pretty lame.
