No because resistant : water gets in but it can resist for a certain time. Proof that means it can keep the water from getting in for some time and it’s more safer

IPhones are waterproof with an IP68 rating but the take away here is that she took the phone to the beach. Salt water is different from normal water. Even pool water can be dangerous because of the chlorine levels. So its waterproof to normal drinkable water. IP68 states that a device can be submerged under 1 meter of water for 30 min. (though Apple states its 4m for 30 min on their official website)
