@sahilo221: The Babari Shaheedan incident took place on 12 August 1948 at Babra Ground, Charsadda, when thousands of Khudai Khidmatgar workers gathered peacefully to protest the arrest of their leaders and demand civil rights. The provincial government of Abdul Qayyum Khan ordered the police to open fire on the unarmed crowd, killing hundreds (exact numbers disputed) and injuring many more. The massacre left deep scars in Pashtun political history and is remembered as a symbol of repression against non-violent political movements in Pakistan.#fyp
