I was told I couldn’t have my ceremony in the cemetery….guess who got special permission from the cemetery director 😁…. People didn’t wanna come because of it ….well good it’s not your day it’s ours and it reflects who we are….because we wanted the rest of our lives to start where it ends

We did cake instead of donuts bc neither of us wanted to cut cake in front of everyone and I also had a lot of push back on that. We spent so daddy daughter or mother son dances either. No traditional entrance to the reception and I changed out of my dress and allowed my bridesmaids to change out of their dresses as soon as the photos were taken and over with!

when I do get married I want a private ceremony, literally me my partner an officiant and one or two friends. I am great at public speaking and acting, but when it comes to my emotions I cant talk about that in front of just anyone. I want us to be able to write our own vows, and I want to be able to share our love story, but telling everyone we know? nah I think im good. Ideally we'll just get married in Vegas and throw a big party later

my husband and i got married in a chapel for 700 dollars with 25 guests and took everyone out to dinner for the “reception”. still the most wonderful day of my life regardless of the negativity revolving around it being small. it’s not about the guests or their wants. it’s about us.

My biggest pet peeve is when people who barely know me and definitely don’t know my fiancé ask “who are you engaged to?” Like you don’t know and that’s an odd question since he’s on my social media too.

All that is exactly why my husband just went to the courthouse randomly at 4pm after his dr appt and got married, in and out in 30 mins and only cost us $80. Him and I celebrated by getting pizza on the way home and chilling at home together. Best day of our lives
