Spaghetti and meatballs aren't really a dish from Bologna. They make Ragu though. Ragu alla bolognese is normally served with tagliatelle.

Fun fact… Bolognese in Bologna is a ragu made from pork and not tomatoes. And spaghetti and meatballs originated in New York City.

Wine in Europe is all named after the region it’s grown in. You can’t label it Champagne unless it’s from the champagne region. Prosecco is named after a northern village called Prosecco, but is glera varietal of grapes. France- Burgundy? Red is Pinot Noir grapes, and white Burgundy is Chardonnay grapes. Those are technically the only grapes you can grow in that region. Bordeaux? It’s a blend on Merlot, cab franc, cab Sauvignon, petit Verdot, and Malbec grapes. It’s the same throughout Italy and all throughout Europe. You grow the grapes in that region, and it’s called the name of the region. It’s rare to grow any varietals others than what you’re supposed to in its reigon
