It’s literally the opposite, I make sure to tell my kids if I’m in a bad mood it’s my problem not theirs an if I get snippy I’m sorry an it’s nothing that they did I’m just having a hard time. Also isn’t that a classic trait kids with narcissistic/abusive parents have? Feeling like the parents emotionally state is their fault?

as a daughter to a narcissist mother, if you feel that way as child, it is complete hell and torment. I am almost 41 and still in heavy therapy over my SHIT ASS mother who died in 2004.

As someone with an emotionally volatile mother I definitely felt like it was my responsibility to keep her happy. And when she would melt down I would follow her around bc I didn’t want her to leave me permanently. I sympathize so much with that poor girl. She doesn’t get a childhood bc the adults in her life refuse to grow up.
