800 bucks for installing a braided air line and a couple fittings is crazy.

Isn’t it funny when you go to the mechanic for one thing you leave and then something else pops up 😂

Wow these comments. As a mechanic, it's funny reading these. The cost sounds about right. People don't realize, the shops gotta make money, pay it's bills, and pay the guys. The bigger and more expensive the vehicle, the bigger the cost. Doing your own work will ALWAYS be cheaper. If you have the skills and tools to properly do it. That's part of the price. Given the fact it was his home, and not some commercial bus, they cut some off the price. And not to mention inflation on top of everything.

To be fair they don’t have to pay rent or any house fixing up expenses so a 2k bill once a year or so is not bad at all.

Weird how something breaks as soon as you leave that was fine beforehand. Just saying a very odd coincidence.

Rule 1. Never ever be buddy buddy with someone you're paying for vehicle service and repair. Makes them too comfortable and lax when you need them sharp and dialed in.
