IMHO, good soft skills are really empowering to women/marginalized people too. Improving my soft skills (I’m a woman) has helped me have more power in financial relationships and build my reputation. These are important fortresses to build if you are working to shift bias that has historically prevented us from building capital.

Oh my gosh, I never thought about how our shift to more socializing online has reduced social norms but it makes perfect sense. I just joined a new company and when they had a company-wide meeting to welcome me, I was the only one with my camera on and I thought that was so strange! And I’m learning that the soft skills also seem to be lacking.

Agreed. The challenge we are seeing is that most people don’t actually know how to work on their soft skills or where to even start. Thanks for doing this important work!
