spike strips are not a booby trap when there's a sign right there saying damage will occur

I'm confused about the breakdown of this. Because I could swear that. Trespassers on private property can be shot, which is way more harmful than spike strips

That’s a California interpretation. I would imagine that Texas has a different interpretation 😂

The driver wouldn't have property damage or be at risk of getting hurt if they followed instructions and stayed off private property. The consequence is on the driver.

That's extremely crazy, because they let businesses and the government do it but it's always a problem when the citizens try to do it

law needs to be rewritten. one should be able to protect their own property as they see fit.

So it’s ok for some government sites to have spikes to help protect there property but citizens can’t. Make it make sense

It's totally legal. i had to put up booby traps to keep my neighbors vehicles off of my land. the idiots drove all three of their vehicles over the spike strips in my driveway , four separate times because they thought they could sue me for new tires. they were wrong. i didn't get sued, i didn't pay for any of that damage. and they eventually got charged with harassment, and misuse of 911, and they then got evicted.
