I would say most hotels in sri lanka come with a breakfast/dinner buffet, especially in Colombo. You should definitely do a “high tea” if you still have time its basically an array if finger foods with afternoon tea kind of similar to brunch

String hoppers and idili are eaten in the same way rice is. Not generally eaten plain, they are vessels for curry or Dahl. Pretty bland on their own. I love seeing you learn about Sri Lankan culture and try Sri Lankan food tho ! I am Sri Lankan/Australian so you’re travel content has been a lot of fun for me 🥰
