yup, Schufa is actually way worse! it's not even about your ability to pay off debt, they've released their new guidelines and you literally get punished (lower scores) for being young or moving to a different city for work, or changing to a better, more affordable bank or phone contract

thank you, because of your tiktok i actually looked into this. Apparently it's mostly for businesses who evade taxes, break workplace safety laws etc, and the controversial part is when individuals who refuse to pay debt even if they are financially capable, then you get on blacklist and you can't take flights for example.

I argued with a German about this stuff and he insisted china have a social credit system, at the end I can feel my voice was shaking and I said I hope u don’t be afraid of travel to china, it’s a beautiful country. I regret it so much, he’s not friendly at all, I was just too kind to him😭

The chinese social credit system did exist but it was a pilot project in a single city that kind of didn‘t work and was abandoned soon after.
