Definition of my life. I defend being poly about as much as a Christian would of Jesus. The biggest part I have to explain that most fail to understand: COMMUNICATION. If you talk about the things, you will not have a problem. If you line up in similar things, great. If not, great. It's still a relationship you decide with somebody. I'm learning so much from my own experiences and from watching you. You give me so much validation in being poly.

I am so happy to see this type of conversation on here! I have run in to too many people who believe poly is (and needs to be) a free-for-all for everyone. While that may work for some people, it is not a healthy approach for everyone, and not being able to discuss what you are and aren't comfortable with at any given moment is not the way to go. Also, I love the bookshelf!

i've found these videos so so helpful, thank you for making them. i'm not dating rn and not really applying this to polyamory specifically, but more my life as a whole. w the ptsd/autism/ocd combo i often struggle like this in moments of discomfort and overwhelm, both in relationship with others and with myself, and speaking to myself the way you exemplify in your videos has made a huge difference in building self trust and my capacity for sitting with my discomfort and overwhelm. ❤️
