There are so many lesbians on my feed spreading the same rhetoric as the straight women, thinking they can't possibly be bigoted because they are also in the community. It's so disheartening. And I'm very glad the bi men are getting defended, but I wish people would show bi women the same support.

I recently saw a lesbian say that bi people are too focused on dating other sexualities and how she’s never sees Bi4Bi couples ever. I was sitting there, like, do you actually never see it or do you immediately assume every couple you see is a straight, lesbian, or gay couple. I’ve had people of every single sexuality assume me and my boyfriend are lesbians, when we are a T4T Bi4Bi couple. We exist, everyone just jumps to conclusions.

You touched on something that often happens to me as a bisexual woman when I try to date other women - I will be trying to get to know them, and they will tell me I'm male centered as soon as it comes up that I'm bisexual. I'm trying to get to know you, and you're talking to me about men - which one of us is being male centered with our behavior here????

it's all so cyclical. it's giving the same energy as the "good monogamous monosexual gays" vs the "weird deviant gender transgressive queers" that was so very prevalent during the arguments for marriage equality. Yes, I'm all for marriage equality, glad we made big strides there, but it very often came wrapped in the language of proximity to straightness and actively putting down those who did not want to or could not fit that mold.
