"yeah so just go read psychology today when you go home from this mental hospital visit you'll be fine" if I heard that from my Doctor after putting myself into a place like that, which personally am I am terrified of because what's worse than losing control or freedom of your own life like that, holy shit man. I would lose my mind, I would not trust doctors anymore for a long time.

To be fair, you CAN have depression with psychosis. Psychosis CAN be a the main diagnosis, or an addition to many diagnoses. Not saying this psychiatrist is right. Just also saying.

I had Irish twins (10.5 months apart in age). I had postpartum psychosis. The doctors I saw also gave me 8 scripts at max levels on top of lithium. I don’t think any doctors know how to deal with it tbh.
