if you marinate the meat before freezing it i heard that saves it from freezer burn. I usually just cook a month's worth of food at a time and freeze it so idk if it's true

The average American is only 1 missed paycheck away from severe financial distress or crisis. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but most people on food stamps do work. They also pay taxes. Which also go into subsidization programs.

I will never ever ever be mad at someone buying FOOD with their FOOD STAMPS, what is wrong with ya'll??? be mad at the politicians and the elite. girl, find out what day your local grocery store restocks and shop for meat the morning of. you'll get lots of Manager's Specials so you can stretch that 67 bucks even further. it's good meat, just freeze it and use it quickly when you defrost it.

i could never be mad that when i start paying taxes (i am a teenager) that the money will go to feeding those who need the extra assistance, housing those who need it, and helping children in need

We should have community groups to bulk buy with combined EBT. Someone buys chicken, someone buys beef, beans, rice, etc etc etc and you divvy it up so everyone has a variety.

I would have done 30 pounds. Big bag of rice. Couple different bouillons. Mix and match flavors so not bored. I are rice solely for about 2 months straight when my ex was out of work in welding school and I was briefly on unemployment. You can get super creative with just rice, a few spices, add a protein. Bonus if a friend or neighbor grows veggies.
