I'm so glad my Ortho didn't want to remove any of my teeth before braces. the idea of removing healthy adult teeth is so scary to me now, its basically amputation. teeth are so precious

It’s starting to get a bit quacky how so many orthodontic clinics are now conveniently “airway” focused, even back in 2004 my orthodontist expansion without extraction a shot but physically it just wasn’t happening after a few months so they had to come out, the internet (the teenage side of it unfortunately) makes it so you think you’re botched forever if you had to get extractions

AND ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPNION! One dr told me I needed 4 extractions and another said It was unnecessary now I have all my teeth :)

my daughter had her premolars removed and expanded her jaw. It was expanded too much now she has gapping everywhere. the teeth wont move due to ankylosis

They evaluated mine so carefully I now have worn teeth from clenching and grinding UARS and I’m currently undergoing MARPE to correct everything.

i have crowding on my upper teeth and my dentist told me to remove my third molar instead, is she correct? i haven't had my braces yet but im scheduothis weekend and i wonder if removing my third molar is a better choice?
