Back, when I still did weddings once you hit the 30 day mark, you don’t get your money back. And this particular instance the bride and her family called off the wedding. They had the most legitimate genuine reasons. So much so that I scrambled trying to contact any vendor to see if they could get their money back or at least some of it. I was able to convince some vendors she had already prepaid for a good portion of our venue. So her and her family and her friends had a party. It was one of my favorite receptions in all of my years of being the events director at a country club. They were literally just celebrating her, dodging the biggest bullet of her life.
