My NICU is similar but we leave a tail after wrapping the tube a couple times then secure it back to the other cheek. We also do the strips as anchor, wrap, wrap, anchor.

We do the bottom piece on top of the piece that goes around the tube. It helps support the tube tape. So, put piece aground the tube first with the bottom piece held back, then put that piece over the tube tape. Thank me later…

this is how we tape however we use alot longer pieces. wrap around at least 3 times.

We use a “bone” (umbilical cord clamp with a hole drilled in the middle) with duoderm and that tape! Free floats the tube in the center of the mouth and keeps the tube off the palate. Very secure
