I used to work in a kids club and they have to call you if the baby cries for more than 20 minutes. This happens all the time. Keep bringing him back. He will really enjoy it once he relaxes, they all do. No one is going to judge you or the baby. Some of the most enthusiastic kids started as crying toddlers, its totally normal.

It took a whole month for mine to go the gym without crying. But I took him every day at the same time rain or shine for him to get used to it. Even if he only lasted 20 mins it gets longer with time!

i worked at a kids place in a gym. the policy at that location was “if a child is inconsolable for 10+, we have to call the parents”. as a childcare worker currently, is he maybe sick? tired? or just wanted momma?

Dad of three. You have to socialize them. They simply cannot be underneath you 24/7. That’s what causes a meltdown like little guy here is having. My wife and I were intentional about that. Play dates, park, birthday parties…we did all of it.
