one of the actual reason I saw cited that wasn’t just women calling men DL is that those straight women or their friends have been in relationships with bi men before that have walked back on early relationship dealbreakers such as wanting to explore threesomes or being pegged, which is fair I’d say. if you get into a relationship consenting to one thing and then that gets walked back on once there’s a sunken cost time and emotional investment you have every right to be weary
