@taahirah.health: ❌ MYTH In theory, pregnancy is only possible during a small fertile window. 🧬 Here’s why: • An egg lives for around 12–24 hours after ovulation. • Sperm can survive in the reproductive tract for up to 5 days. This means the fertile window is usually around 6 days: the 5 days before ovulation and the day of ovulation itself. ⚠️ Ovulation doesn’t happen on the same day for everyone. In many women, it’s around 10–16 days before the next period, but cycle length and timing can vary. If your cycles are short or irregular, you might find it helpful to track your dates and physical and hormonal changes together. 🤍 From an Islamic perspective, tracking your fertile window is taking the means (asbab). The outcome always remains with Allah, who alone knows what has been decreed for us (Qur’an 31:34). Tracking isn’t about carrying every outcome or feeling it all rests on you. It’s showing your body kindness and grace, with better understanding.
