the episodes with daryl and Beth were my favorite of the whole series. I love how they juxtaposed daryls harshness with Beth's softness esp in the scene where he skins the snake and shes looking at the ladybug. they both saw in each other a side of humanity they may not have known even existed before then. and whether he saw her as a crush or a little sister doesn't matter, in the end he admired her and she saw the good in him too. its really an incredible storyline and theyre both incredible actors

I feel like if Beth lived, it would be something that they would attempt, romantically, but exactly what he said, it would be deeper than that in the sense that they would love and care about each other deeply and have an undeniable connection, but they wouldn’t be “together” if you know what I mean. Like platonic soul mates in a way, people who wouldn’t want to mess up their relationship as is to explore anything more. Kind of like him and Carol but for different reasons.

I legitimately thought they were handling it perfectly with Connie as his potential love interest. It was a slow burn and we got to see them progressively get more comfortable with each other. Then we get someone like Leah that just felt so damn forced lol. Wouldn’t have minded that choice if the Reapers were actually well written villains but they were one of the most forgettable lol
