Instead, try approaching it in this way: 1️⃣ Explain what is worrying you. For example, you don’t want to let other priorities slip. 2️⃣ Talk about the potential impact if nothing changes. 3️⃣ Ask them to help you decide what to prioritise. This could sound like: “That makes sense. I’m going to need your help working that out though, because in my mind everything feels like a priority as it all ties to XYZ.” 4️⃣ Be specific about what kind of support you need. We’re much more likely to get our needs met when we can clearly communicate them. 💬 Have you ever been in a situation like this on either side?
