I get the point, but ai has become such a pain for students because Ai software picks up on Ai that's not even written by Ai. Then you gotta run it through a humanizer another ai software, so your work isn't invalid.

I was a c student but hyperlexic due to being audhd but undiagnosed until my 30s. I could bang out a 5 page paper in a few hours having ZERO clue about what i was writing earlier. I also was in a senior history class as a freshman and had to write a huge research paper without any prior experience. I got an A in the class and had one of the highest grades for the year

I overheard a conversation like this in the hallway at university six months ago. The prof straight up said "yes, I do think it was AI. And since you don't want to take the opportunity to rewrite it, I'm booking a meeting with Academic Integrity" 😭 how the hells do you try to pass off 5 pages when you said that you didn't even have any ideas less than 24 hours ago? I've done essays the night before, but I at least knew what I was going to write. And they were definitely worse quality than AI probably would've done (but still got like B+)

ok so I had a professor try to fail our entire class on an discussion board assignment because she said we used ai her bases for this was that they all sounded identical. the discussion was answering 3 questions from the chapter I used the book to write mine and posted it 3 days before anyone else... I sent her the pages and paragraphs I used to write my response plus the time discrepancy and she still claimed that it was ai. that was the last straw that semester with her and the entire class reached out to our programs other teacher and dean with all the complaints needless to say the last two weeks of that class was spent with them trying to fix and give us enough credits to allow us to pass
