@beyondcosmichorizonsdp: On August 5, 2026, a 4-ton SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket stage struck the sunlit edge of Einstein Crater at 5,400 mph. 📷📷 Drifting for 19 months in a chaotic Earth-Moon orbit, this dead human artifact unleashed kinetic energy equivalent to 3 tons of TNT, carving a new double crater into the lunar regolith and launching a 70-mile ejecta plume into space. Spectroscopic tracking from the European Southern Observatory caught something chilling: bright spectral lines of lithium, the chemical signature of human industrial batteries burning on a world pristine for 4 billion years. As we prepare for permanent lunar outposts, our discarded space junk is actively turning the Moon into a kinetic minefield. Full orbital decay and spectral impact breakdown live now.
