They’re meeting a version of you who finally knows their worth. We don’t need you to change. You do you. But when being around you consistently comes at the cost of our peace, we’ll quietly step back. No drama. No announcement. No need to prove a point. The friendship just gets quieter. The access becomes limited. Not because we hate you, but because we finally learned that protecting our peace is something we don’t need to apologize for.
