See but the pharmacy says its my fault when multiple doctors tell me to take my IR meds in place of my XR doses when the pharmacy is “out” of adderall until you call and show up in person before they start to fill it and now theyve already pushed my fill date 10 days past the script call in and now both medications are offset with the call in day so they tell me I cant legally pick it up when my doctor calls it in, yet they held it from me; had it the whole time; and waited for 4 different requests to actually begin filling… what then?

There’s a difference between “I’m concerned this medication will interact with x medication you were previously prescribed- are you still taking that? Yes? Okay, let me contact your prescriber and go over other options for you” and “I refuse to fill this prescription and that is my right”- most pharmacists do the latter and it’s not patient centered at ALL.

yeah except when im waiting for my birth control (ive been on it for almost two years, im fifteen) and yall wanna start berating me and saying im too young to be on it (i need for my anemia so my iron levels aren't dropping randomly from irregular and extreme periods) so get off your high horse and give me the damn brith control

I had a pharmacist refuse to fill a prescription for me after a surgery bc it had a fatality rate for obese 14 year olds… I was 18 and absolutely not obese 😂

I appreciate this until its a male catholic pharmacists who put my birth control on hold where it couldnt be transfered and also refused to fill it due to religion. some people do abuse this power.

I don’t think people understand the role of a pharmacist. They aren’t just there to fill the medication, they’re there to safely review prescriptions to ensure something you take won’t kill you lol.

im 35, ive had 2 knee replacements and the most recent one (under a year) is failing , shingles, and a heart attack. I have a team behind me medically wise, and I should not have to argue with the pharmacy to fill my fucking pain meds. "why do you need them" why do you think? put em in the fucking bag

I have chronic insomnia, I need multiple sleep aids and I have to get each med at a different pharmacy because no pharmacy fills all 4. now while I agree that sometimes you guys catch fatal errors, sometimes pharmacists overstep because your information on the patient is MINISCULE compared to the doctor.

What’s funny is I’ve seen so many comments in the Lindsay Clancy case about “how did the pharmacist fill all these prescriptions for her? Why wasn’t this questioned” yet they all want to complain when the pharmacist questions things 😂

yea as long as you’re actually in communication w the provider and saying why you’re refusing and give a better alternative. if you’re just refusing and doing nothing else, even if it’s for a good reason, i wouldn’t call that helping
