if it's not a dry socket maybe you have food stuck in there if you've been eating popcorn lately sometimes those little shell fragments get stuck in areas of your mouth and your teeth and gums and raise holy Havoc

Could be an infection with swollen gums. Get it checked out for sure.

could be an impacted wisdom tooth, all of mine came in was good for years then the top two started growing again impacted teeth in front of them cracked to the nerve had to ha e them both removed at the same time, incredibly painful

It is possible that they broke it removing it and a piece is trying to work its way out. I had to pop a piece out of mine one time
