@closer.tv: JUBILATION AS AZIKEL REFINERY’S CDU ARRIVES YENAGOA There is jubilation in Yenagoa as the Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) of the Azikel Refinery, widely regarded as the heart of a refinery, alongside other critical completion equipment, has arrived at the refinery site. The massive equipment was received by the Group President of Azikel Group, Dr. Eluani Azibapu Godbless Eruani. The CDU is designed to process 25,000 barrels of crude oil per day. It is the heaviest equipment at the refinery, weighing approximately 200 tonnes and measuring about 210 feet (64 metres) in length. The equipment was transported to Nigeria aboard a specially chartered vessel and subsequently moved from Port Harcourt to the Azikel Refinery site in Yenagoa using a specially built barge.
