Just last week I needed to do a refund for a canceled door dash order. We used to just do the refund directly to the company that sends us the orders. Now we appareantly have to do it in "cash", which makes total sense for a door dash refund. I was gonna do it the old way, until the manager on shift told me not to do it, call the manager in the other shift and ask her how to do it, on her day off too (since I usualy work with her). No one imformed me of the change and I felt so frustrated, cause we need to know of this to do our job. Still don't get why I had to be the one to call the other manager and not the manager on shift. 😑

I actually use that with the team, I’ll come up with a terrible idea to cover say a last min sickness and they l just say leave it with us we’ll sort it out

“We’re going to implement a new system for all shifts worked to cut down on problems with over budgeting and the associated problems for admin.” Translates to, all of the above, except really it caused more problems for every single member of staff, including admin, and has in fact created extra work for supervisors who didn’t have enough time to do the normal work load, whilst dealing with frustrated staff because they aren’t getting all of their hours logged. 👍

Them: It will mean when Margaret retires, we won't have to fill that role, so we will save money and you'll work harder. Us: So makes our life harder, more pressure, downsizing for the least earners, no bonuses and you make more profits? Them: See, you know it! 6 months later Them: We need ideas about how to boost staff retention, we don't understand why people keep leaving...
