@ohhowcivilized: Link to the recipe is in my bio. I’m a Tea Sommelier and this is week 10 of my cold brew tea series where I make a new cold brew every week this summer. This week I’m making the viral Hong Kong Sprite Iced Tea and a Ginger Ale Hibiscus Iced Tea. These drinks are made by cold brewing tea in soda instead of water. They’re sweet, refreshing, and so good. To make the Hong Kong Sprite Iced Tea, I used Sprite, 2 black tea bags, lemon, and ice. You can use any kind of black tea bags you have. Pour out a bit of the Sprite then put 2 tea bags into the bottle. Close it really tight, then flip it upside down in a cup. This is to make sure the tea is fully submerged and in contact with the soda. Put it in the refrigerator for an hour or two. Pull out the tea bags. Pour the drink into a cup with ice then add a squeeze of lemon. Don’t leave out the lemon since it’s what makes the drink go from ok to amazing. Loved it. The next one I came up with using the formula of tea plus soda and it’s a ginger ale hibiscus iced tea. This tastes like hibiscus candy. It was delicious. Pour out a bit of the ginger ale from the bottle and put in 2 hibiscus tea bags. Close the cap and flip the bottle upside down and place it in a cup. Chill for an hour or 2 in the refrigerator. Take out the tea bags and pour the drink into a cup with ice. Both drinks are so simple to make and so tasty. You have to make it this weekend! #coldbrewtea #viralrecipe #icedtea #sprite #gingerale
