Don’t stop being her friend but also stop dealing with her bs, I personally think there are levels to friendship, so you can just drop her a peg, hang out with her if you have to or want to but if she begins to rent about her bf cut her off mid conversation and upright tell her that you don’t want to hear it because she’s dating him and if she has any problems, she should just tell him that and not you, its none of your business, and its not like your opinion matters to her so she genuinely has no fucking reason to be telling you ANYTHING about him. You cant force someone to get help, but you can help yourself. There is a saying in my language, that i will probably not be able to translate over well, but if someone is going down a bumpy road and you tell them that they will break their nose because of it but they still decide to go down that shitty road whether they break their nose or not is none of your business anymore.

Don’t stop being friends stop dealing with her bullshit; example, say she constantly keeps complaining about her boy tell her that if you guys are going to be friends you do not want to hear about him anymore, as it’s more or so being a therapist rather than being a friend, it’s okay to help with situations but if its always constant bashing on her boy along with defending unfortunately there won’t be a change until she sees it herself
