I wasted my whole life at a job I couldn’t stand. Every year that went by it got more difficult to leave…it paid well and had good benefits. But it was not the job for me. And I knew it…28 years later …I walked away…last year. I couldn’t take it anymore. And don’t get me started on relationships that I should have ended sooner!

Again, your words resonate so strongly. My partner calls me a ‘people pleaser.’ Always worrying about others to the detriment of myself. Also no. 5? Amen to that. My partner is currently critically ill in hospital. When and it is WHEN she gets better, nothing is being put on hold. Changes have to be made…for her, for myself. I have also cut out the crap, finally, out of certain aspects of life and it is refreshing and even liberating. But I am 58 and wished I had the balls earlier in life to make these changes.
