And not to mention, conversations with friends or others are also draining sometimes. The topic always seems to come back to if you’ve had any luck finding any job and then it goes into the whole “we’ll have you tried (said place)?” And it’s like bro of course I have lol like it was the same result every time.

It’s been over a year for me, I used to get excited to go on interviews, but now I can’t get excited I have to mentally prepare myself for rejection emails. It’s so depressing when all you want to do is work and nobody will give you the opportunity to do so.

We see ourselves as worthless if we’re not cogs in the machine and being productive for the country. We are so much more than what we do for a living! You deserve to be happy regardless of your employment status, please don’t forgive that your purpose as a human being isn’t to serve the American workforce, you are whole without it 💜
