It's a good idea however, I just set up a Vevor canopy. It's much more convenient than rolling in the awning every time there is bad weather. Having something like this attached to the awning makes it totally inconvenient.

Waste of money when it cant be permanently setup with wind you pull in your awning to avoid damage to have this setup full time as an extra outdoor room. Get a hard top gazebo or pergola mounted into a deck is safer

Had one and when it rains all the water sits on top of the awning and creates a huge belly. You can lower a leg and drain it but a pain in the ass. Not too bad in the wind because it doesn’t get under the awning.
