I had a snake plant for about 5-6 years and then about 2 years ago life got busy and I neglected it and some of it died. So I took the 9 live healthy blades, cleaned them off and stuck them in a pitcher of water. Every single blade is still thriving in that pitcher and 7 of them grew pups! The pups are about 6 inches tall and still attached to their mother blades. I’m new to actively growing plants (for years I’ve just bought easy ones and just water them and hope for the best) so I’m not sure what to do next… but I’m going to experiment!

Also should note that you will lose the variegation on the outside in the propagation versions. The only way to keep it is with the pups.
