the window is 2" below a 2' overhang with a gutter. when is it ever gonna see water? Tape as you wish man.

Other than not taping the bottom, I think the top edge of tape is supposed to overlap the sides so water runs over and not behind

window installer here start with the bottom (if you tape it) and finish with the top 👌 some tape the bottom some dont.. u will be just fine tht window is all the way up to the soffit probably would be ok if u didn't put any tape on it at all move on the the next part of the project 💯
