We had somewhere we HAD to be yesterday after plans changed last minute, and Frontier was the only flight that could get us there on time. We were like- It’s only an hour flight, how bad could it really be? That was our first mistake. First flight gets delayed before takeoff and we sit on the tarmac for 45 minutes. Reminder: the flight itself is literally ONE HOUR. Then we land and they go: “Alright everyone, let’s deplane.” And by deplane they meant WALKING DOWN METAL STAIRS ONTO THE ACTUAL CONCRETE OUTSIDE???? Like I genuinely felt like I was arriving to a secret military base. I have never in my life gotten off a commercial flight directly onto the pavement. Whatever. We survive. Then we leave our event early so we don’t miss our flight home. We’re literally walking up to TSA feeling responsible and productive when our flight gets delayed an hour and a half. So naturally we spent about $80 on approximately a pickle, some bags of chips, and some water. After an hour and a half our plane finally pulls up and I kid you not… they start boarding people BEFORE everyone is even off the plane. So the first boarding group is just standing there packed together staring at each other while passengers are still actively coming down the stairs from outside. At this point Russ and I decided we would rather perish than voluntarily spend extra time on that plane, so we waited until final boarding. The seats felt like lawn chairs zip tied to aluminum. My entire lower half went numb. Then we land back home and I’m thinking “thank God it’s over.” Wrong. We then sit on the plane for ANOTHER 30 minutes waiting for a gate. An hour flight somehow became a full character building experience. The horror stories are real.
