I don’t get the US at all. Field Sobriety test are subjective and pointless. Here, we are required to give a breath sample if we are driving. Refusal to do so is an automatic DUI in Canada. They don’t waste time with field sobriety tests. If you blow 0.05-0.08 they tow your car and give a warning. Over 0.08 it’s an arrest and DUI charge…including a follow up blood test to confirm.
