“Why are you letting her see this” well, children are going to see people with disabilities and medical conditions and it’s actually a good thing that they’re educated about medical emergencies and don’t freak out if they see one in public

“Why r u letting her see this” she’s gonna see it again, might aswell desensitize her to it so she doesn’t freak out when she’s older. Staying calm in the situation someone is having a seizure is the best thing

I think it’s good for her to learn this. At least she’s learning what to do if you both are home alone when she’s older

It’s more traumatic not knowing what to do and feeling useless when this happens, I was 13 the first time I saw someone have a seizure and I just stared and cried because I didn’t know to how help, this baby will know what to do which is a beautiful thing in a world full of bystanders

the child is not afraid, not crying and not at all traumatized. She just want to know if her aunt is okay, and this could be educational 🧍♀️

omg yall. she has a seizure disorder. the baby is part of her life. the baby is going to see this happen no matter what. it’s best the baby isn’t traumatized by this happening in public with no prior knowledge of what’s going on. learning what’s going on is incredibly important. babies are really smart and want to learn. let them. everyone calling her life experience, something she goes through every day, traumatic is insane. this is her entire life.

Kids can have seizures too. Why not teach her to recognize the signs in herself and her peers?

"why are you letting her see this" do you think people can just hold in seizures like a fucking sneeze? "oh yeah guys I'll just go to the other room and have my seizure there! sorry to bother you!" y'all really don't gaf about disabled people and it shows.

When I worked in a group home a girl had seizures from stress. It was the most heartbreaking thing I witnessed. She couldn’t control her stress nor her seizures. I couldn’t do anything but cry and help her on her side.
