Yeah man I have literally never been able to find a place in a queer community bc I was told to my face as someone was inviting me to a women's queer event that it was strictly lesbians, no trans, no bi, no pan. I respect lesbians having their own space but i was really taken aback by immediately being uninvited as a woman who also likes women :/

biphobia sits at a stubborn crux between misogyny and homophobia. it trigger internalized homophobia bc certain queers have accepted that they DON'T have a choice but can't accept that someone WOULD choose if given the chance to be in a loving queer relationship. it also triggers the internalized misogyny bc certain lesbians cant seem to fathom why a bi woman would choose a woman over a man. it all boils down to self hatred and an imperfect form of acceptance. they think "oh i cant help it so i am valid" instead of "all consensual love is beautiful and valid. there is every reason to choose this life and it is a beautiful life worth wanting"
