I think having teachers who express themselves teaches kids to accept people who may be “different” because it breaks the idea that “respected people” need to look a certain way. I also think it gives kids creative license to express themselves

The issue was never the clothes, it’s because she’s a woman, pretty, and she’s young. I literally follow a male teacher on here who constantly wears T-shirt and jeans, and NOT ONE comment about how unprofessional he is or that he’s doing it because he wants attention from student

Grade 1, I had 2 different teachers that would wear the really pretty strappy gem covered gladiator shoes, with fancy skirts and pretty shirts. All through school each of my different art teachers and science teachers would wear frilly flowy dresses, similar to the ones you wear, on days that they dont need to do practical lessons in the science room. my english teachers could wear pretty much any style they like any day they want (all appropriate obviously) and many had a similar style to you. One of my old english teachers looks and dreses almost exactly how you're dressed in this video, except with maybe a longer shirt and slightly looser fitting jeans, (i know you're not meeting students today) and the jewellery and hair done up with clips. or middy skirts with flowy tops. Ive never been to a school where the teachers had to wear a uniform, only ones with a dress code. So they just styled their casual clothes into teacher outfits like you, which many jobs these days allow for (even PPE can have a bit of pizzazz). I work as a cleaner, and i feel silly now that i asked my boss if i was allowed to wear jeans shorts, to which she replied paraphrased "we all wear jeans sometimes, so of course" (within reason obviously, im not going to wear my ripped cut off shorts)

Swedish teachers wear whatever they want and the whole mr mrs formality is not a thing in our schools teachers are adressed by their first name and they spend their breaks hanging out with students in the cafeteria ( might be a broad generalization but this is atleast what ive seen in my school and plenty others)
